It’s evident from 19 designers that there’s a lot to look forward to in 2025. Think moody interior colours (dark lavender is one of the most striking), bold patterns with personality, cosy reading areas, and a renewed focus on natural materials.

It can be seamlessly integrated into a variety of design styles, from modern and contemporary to industrial or even traditional. “I’m excited to use more board-formed cement in upcoming projects, pushing the limits of what it can do.”
7. Deeper, Richer Woods
While neutral decor was popular for many years, walnut will be back in style by 2025. These darker tones add warmth and depth. They also have a refined richness, which enhances the feel of any space.
8. Checkered Flooring
“Checkered floors may be trendy, but they are a timeless option. This is a great option for creating a big impact. The material can be chosen to create a nostalgic feel that is suitable for both traditional and contemporary homes. We chose antique black and white marble in this space to give the new construction home an instant patina.
9. Furniture as Art
People are choosing bolder furniture designs with unconventional shapes and curves. They offer aesthetic appeal as well as comfort.
10. Warm Whites and Woods
“Kitchens have shifted from cooler whites to off-whites, taupes, and even moody, earthy, neutral neutrals. This creates a more welcoming, grounded feeling. This trend is paired with the rise in warmer wood tones to add depth to accents, cabinetry and flooring. These elements are a reflection of a desire for cosy, refined spaces which blend natural warmth and timeless sophistication.

“Minimalism is not about the bare minimum in 2025. It’s about warmth and texture. I love terracotta, organic materials such as raw wood or stone and creamy beige. These elements create functional but soulful spaces that offer comfort without clutter.
12. Textured Materials
You’ll find texture everywhere: on fabrics, walls, and floors. In this entryway, we have used a mixture of metals. The wallpaper is cork and metallic, with fine lines of gold and silver woven through.
13. Wood Kitchens
The pandemic has re-energized the importance of nature to us as humans. Wood kitchens are a great way to bring in the outdoors.
14. Unique Fabric Choices
Statement fabrics will be popular in 2025. This boy’s room was designed with mid-century style elements in mind. The curtain fabric is whimsical without being too babyish. It features a pattern that is reminiscent of midcentury atomic patterns. This design can grow with your child as they get older. Golds, greens, and blues strike a masculine note while presenting a unique colour palette
15. Color-Drenching
I hope to see more colours in 2025, especially unexpected shades like moody purples. This is a very bold, unapologetic, and striking use of colour.

“Everyone had a fake ficus for decades. We’ll change that in 2025. There’s no doubt that greenery brings life to any area. The more exotic greenery you have, the more interesting your space will be. Bamboo is my favourite because it has a small leaf and is an airy plant. It is the perfect shade of green and not formal. “I prefer greenery with light and movement.”
17. Dramatic Workspaces
Home offices in 2025 will be elevated by dramatic designs and mood-setting themes that encourage productivity and creativity. Dark, saturated colours — like deep navy or black — are used to create an environment that is sophisticated and focused. The use of luxurious materials such as velvet, leather, and metallic accents creates a refined ambience, while other details, like statement lighting, curated art, and statement lighting, add a gallery feel. These intimate, bold workspaces are ideal for those who want to strike a balance between functionality and aesthetic appeal.

We’re seeing a shift away from large, bulky light fixtures to more elegant, delicate designs that make a statement. This results in a luxurious yet subtle look that adds a touch to the room without being overwhelming. It also maintains a feeling of balance and airiness. These fixtures are perfect for adding character to bathrooms or elevating the dining room. They seamlessly combine beauty and functionality, providing illumination which enhances, rather than overwhelms, the overall design.

For 2025, think about moving away from lighter colours, such as pale white oak. Instead, embrace darker, richer tones, like walnut or mahogany. “We are seeing a shift towards sustainable and biophilic designs, with indoor plants and natural materials taking centre stage in order to promote well-being and an even deeper connection to nature. Colour palettes that are earthy and bold, paired with spaces that can be used for multiple purposes, emphasize comfort and flexibility. This is ideal for creating homes as beautiful as they are functional.
21. Softer Tones
In 2025, we will see a move away from a white palette to softer shades. Creams and natural-inspired colours, such as sage, will be prominent, adding warmth, depth, and a timeless, serene quality. When paired with natural materials such as wood or stone, these colours create an inviting, harmonious environment that feels fresh and grounded.
22. Throwback Patterns
Textiles are seeing a revival of fabrics that appear to be hand-blocked. The classic floral prints of my childhood are making a comeback. I am thrilled to see these fabrics. Flame stitch from the ’80s is also making a return, and many companies are offering beautiful options in a variety of price ranges. Animal prints are also a timeless classic that has a lasting appeal. They’re set to return in 2025 and prove once again why these prints have stood the test of time.”
23. Classic Elegance
“Classical design is defined by materials such as marble, wood, and natural fibres like silk and wool. It remains timeless and durable. These elements will continue to be valued by a certain group of people. “Classical design is not just about materials. It’s also about intricate architectural details and balance. These features, though sometimes difficult, are worth the effort.”
24. Voice-Activated Technology
I am more excited by the technology available in our everyday lives, such as voice-activated controls. This technology can remotely control a fireplace, all lamps in an area, or set moods. “Functional and convenient!”
